Not happy with the stock height/looks of my 89 2WD pickup
I don't like the way my truck looks in stock form, it seems the body and wheel base don't match. The truck has a huge body and the wheels are so small that they don't fill up the fenders.
How do you guys go about doing a lift job? I really like the looks of the stock 4x4 height. If I wanted to lift my truck to a stock 4x4, would it cost a lot? would I be better off selling my truck and getting a 4x4 instead?
I like the 2 wheel drive mpg though...

sorry forgot to add I did search. most I found was recommended bolt on lift kits and some some expensive pro stuff.
I should have been more specific.
My uncle is looking to sell the stock tires off his 2006 keep wrangler. They are 30X9.50x15 tires for real cheap. So I was ALSO looking to fabricate or find the cheapest way to lift the truck for these tires.

but what should i do if my uncle is almost giving away his jeep wrangler tires !? my truck needs them too, look at the fenders ! it looks like crap with the big fenders and nothing to fill them up !
I have to try them...............

If you really want to do it go out and buy a cheap body lift. You'll be able to fit them after that.

Get some 4WD fenders and corner lights, some 2wd ball joint spacers, and maybe a 1" or so shackle for the back.
Throw some 15x7 steelies and some 31/10.50s up on her. probably look pretty good then.
