The SB is awesome! Ive had it since xmas and only used it six times but its been flawless so far. Thing is a little powerhouse. I knew I was buying a cheap winch but I was very suprised at how not cheap this is with the exception of the controller (which dosent matter) and the cable. Hopefully Ill be getting the smittybilt synthetic soon. Anyone had any experience with these? Hard to beleive they can sell a snythetic for that cheap and it be worth a s***, but I also said that about the winch too.

LOL Brenjen knows when he's been defeated.
if i'm in 4wd on solid ice....it's going to be more helpful to be locked front and rear so i have 4 big ole pieces of rubber workin for me..rather than two (if i'm open front and rear)
been there..stuck in a parking lot in a 4wd toyota..not fun lol.
just because all four tires are on the ground..doesn't mean they have good enough traction to go anywhere...take a truck..put it on a 2 post lift...start lifting it up..right when it hits full droop and the tires are about to come off the ground....get in it and try to move..you're not going to go anywhere..just spin..whether your locked or not..
yes an open fr/rr 4x4 pickup could have made it up that no problem at all.....with lots of wheel spin.
he made it up it without spinning a wheel..and therefore it's a lot easier on his rig.
