Check out my new blinkers set up for my 4runner with the new bumper, got them hung on the old stock sheet metal that go's behind the stock bumper.

The area they are mounted on keeps them about 4" behind the new bumper but still visible from the front,now I need to figure out why they blink so fast as directionals but on 4 way they blink at normal rate any ideas anybody?

Cell phone pic's but they get the point across yea?

do you have them hooked up to your normal blinker location?

does it replace the stock blinker or is it just spliced into it?

how many watts is the bulb ? could be why it blinks fast

Add some load equalizers. They are $10 at Kragen. Problem solved. Same as if you are using led's.

Yea they are for the most part spliced in I have the hot side pined into the pin area for the stock connection no ground though I tried that too but it made no difference

I will some day when I find a spare set of stock lights and the plugs then I can graft them into the marker lights and have an almost stock set up that Toyota should have done to start with but for $10 at a tractor supply store these will work to keep me out of trouble with the local officers that are new just finishing FTO training and getting their own units in the area and don't know me or where I work yet.

Wonder if that will work, I have one on my Harley to equal the load from the 6 l.e.d.s but I don't know if that will work if the 4 ways blink at regular speed but I will see if I can find one and try it out Thanks for the info, I had wondered if it would be like a l.e.d. set up

it just sounds like a bulb is burnt? When you rear turn signal goes out your front blinks twice as fast, or vice versa.

I think your splice is making it have less resistance? just food for thought.

olharley looks like them be off a newer style twin cam bike maybe? but they look good, has anyone thought bout runnin street bike turnsignals in the wedge of the tube?

That was my original idea but cant find a lens and back for them at any of the local parts stores here

Very good eye they are the same as a DYNA model just picked them up from the tractor store for $10 vs. the HD dealer for $70, as for the street bike blinker idea yea still working that out I have a few sets of the chrome bullet turn signals off the softail that I am still playing with to make them look right after mounted.

i mean use those in the corner light drill out the hole pop that in there much cleaner look than trying to fab something up on the bumper

Alternately, you could use a trailer light converter box and not have to change any bulbs or modify the housings. Wire the turn signal and marker light wiring to the box, then wire the box to the bulbs in the corners. Lights will be on with the markers and blink on and off with the signals. You might have to replace the stock flasher unit with an electronic one so that the flash rate is normal though.

not sure how good that would work since the maker lights are a tiny 5w bulb

I'd do as Elton says and modify the corner markers. It will be much cleaner that way, and one less bulb/lens to worry about.

I just cut the wires to the sockets and moved the indicator wires up to my marker lights. I used Amber bulbs in my old marker sockets and it works perfect. I then ran my marker wires down to my driving lights / fog lights and now have fog lights wired into my factory headlight switch.

The easiest thing to do would put brighter bulbs in. I did the exact same mod when my truck was bumperless, switched in bigger bulbs, worked great and was really bright too lol
