My timing chain replacement progress.

Th pic where I'm holding the bolt. There were about four washers on it. I think I might just buy a bolt kit since I don't know what else the po might have done. These are my diagrams to keep up with bolts.

Your probably right on about that. I probably should myself but I just didn't wanna dig any deeper. Hec I'm already worried about getting my dang timing right since When I tried removing my cam bolt I moved crap around. Plus my chain was zip tied when I did it.
I figure if the gasket ain't broke then I ain't gonna mess with it.

I dry fitted my new one to see how it lines up. I know if your at tdc then both the front rocker arms should wiggle. My right one wiggles more than the left. Is that normal? Or is looser

also is your engine a 22r or a 22re?
I have the 2 manual set for 1993 which covers the 22re
somewhere I also have the 1986 version but I am unable to find it at the moment
the last engine is did a timing job on was a 3 liter marine engine
I went step by step through the book & everything worked out great in the end.

It's a 93 22re. I've got the fsm downloaded from a forum and I've read like crazy all I could find. I've been going step by step and even followed some other tips.
I feel like I messed up when I had my cam zip tied while trying to remove that cam bolt and stuff moved. Nothing did a full revolution or anything but I did restab the dizzy and rotate everything to see where it would end up. I'll keep things updated as I go. I just don't wanna put this thing together and it not be right.
Hope you find the manual.

I like to rotate it without the spark plugs in it with a breaker bar
if things are not right you will quickly know it
do even bother with the belts or any of that until you know the timing is "on the money"
good luck
