kit cost about $750, hood fenders and grill. and no you have to fab a few brackets but nothing too bad. pretty much flat plate of steel with a few holes drilled. lining everything up is a PITA though. and you also have to buy the headlights from an 04-05 tacoma.

LOL. by the way anyone know of any good shops in Socal that can do engine swaps? or SAS, people i talk to around here seem to be oblivious to even the 3.4 swap? which seems to be really popular, let alone the supra swap...

I disagree, the cool factor is that it looks "half & half"

Sorry man, I haven't heard of any good shops in thee area that can handle that swap. Most of us did the swap ourselves or atleast the engine work ourelves. I work out primarily in he Montclair area and think I may have seen you a few times. I drive a lot for work. I know that there are a few of us on here that live in he Rancho Area and Pomona Area. Maybe some of us can give yu a hand if you decide to do the swap yourself.

On a side note - Your truck is sick looking! Any pics of the inside? Any mods there? Maybe an action shot of your truck as well?

thanks for the comments! don't have any inside pics but its basically a stock sr5 interior with bucket seats. no action shots but i may take it soon to azusa canyon since its been a while and the truck wants to get dirty again! i'm always out in montclair or surrounding area so you prob have seen me. i was thinking about doing some sort of swap myself but wiring is the only thing i might have an issue with. it would be great to talk to people in the socal area who have done swaps. not sure what to go with yet? v6 3.4? 4.3 v6? v8? although i'd love to go v8 with 1 tons. or even the supra swap?

There is a company in texas that will swap a 6cyl turbo diesel 1kzte toyota motor in your truck... i found it on pirate4x4 awhile ago and i think it's here too... with a chip and injectors you can push 250-300hp and still get great mileage.
