Angry Learning to drive: Wreckage

My son started driving with a learners permit, while backing out of the driveway in the 96' Runner he backed directly into the side of my 87' Toy truck. Much sadness! One week later, while backing out of the driveway with a light coating of snow, my wife backed into the beloved 87" truck. Alot more sadness for sure!

I hold my tongue, but looking for sympathy from my co-toy lovers.

The 87" now might be a good rock crawler!

Double ouch! If you love your '87 as much as I do my '88, I'd fix it and park it somewhere safe!

Now you need a "Chicks Dig Body Damage" sticker to put on it.

THIS!

Made me laugh.

I've had lots of vehicles, that I loved, that I paid a lot of money for, that I cherished, that were "unique". Several of those have been compromised at the hand of a "less than, umm, attentive driver" (girlfriend). What I have learned is, cars are just stuff and can be repaired, replaced, or sold.

And to carry full coverage on EVERYTHING!
Shoot, I have full coverage on a 90 subaru that has no engine/trans/diff in it!?

Dang Utah, that sucks! That was a very clean truck. I guess she's making up for all the years of remaining so clean, lol. Time to start parking their car on the street and put yours in the garage!

So does this mean your coming to the next Squaw Ridge trip since you dont have to worry about damage anymore?

Still sorry to hear about that...I know how much pride you took in having a clean truck.

Wow, Squaw Ridge, what a drive that was. Maybe; now I wont have to look for the easy routes. Just take her strait up the middle of the boulders without worry.

Thats why I have armor around every part of my truck. Most other vehicles don't have a body part high enough that can actually touch a body panel on my truck before a lower part of their vehicle hits my armor.

i swear, its like they reach a certain age and become dent magnets. i think im only responsible for like half the body damage on my truck. . . . . . .the bigger half. but still! and family is the worst! my brother specifically, i think he has done the other half, like the roller fairlead imprint in my tail-gate for one!

from your avatar it looks like you pride your vehicle's appearance more than i do. i am mourning your loss. will there be a service?
