ok I did check the ohms on my tps and with a little adjustment, now I dont have the problem any more. so maybe tomorrow ill take the truck back to do the smog check so wish me luck guys,

OK NP, I failed smog, reset timing, a new cat, and i was good to go. Its a NH truck so commie smog tests are new to me.

ok guys a little update. bought a timing light gun, set the timing at the 10 degree mark and I just drop it to have it smog againg....so wish me luck guys....

AWESOME! I'm stocked for you that your project has gotten on the road legally. A bonus that you didn't have to buy a TPS or TB complete. These trucks are pretty forgiving. With minimal up keep they will continue to pass smog year after year.
