isuzu dana 44 or isuzu corporate 12 bolt
...swapped into an 86-95 toyota rear. Has anyone tried this?
Been reading. Been crawling underneath late 80's troopers and mid 90's rodeos. Width is 58" ish - same as toyota ifs front. Disc brakes with e-brake, 4.56 or 4.30 depending, 6 on 5.5, maybe LSD, and good junkyard price all makes it seem an attractive swap. Just curious about adapting the isuzu flange and the fact that the isuzu axle hub is a few mm's smaller than the toyota wheel center bore. I didn't try a toyota wheel over the trooper or rodeo discs for fit, only assumed (perhaps in error) since people put isuzu wheels on toyotas.

I'm still searching and thinking through the hub centric (toyota) wheel vs. the the lug centric (isuzu) and having 4 of the same at all corners. I like the idea of the trooper 4.56 allowing for a larger tire. Seems like there are more 35's out there for sale.
