this is a simple problem and easy to diagnose its your selunium rectafire
swap it out and that truck will run like it just came off the show-room floor dont thank me im just glad i saw what your problem was before you went of and spent millions of bux on something so easy

Sounds like the voltage regulator built into the back of the alt. is shot. I've had 3 er 4 go bad, and all went intermentent like you're describing. Hard to show when bench testing an alt. at a shop. I'd see if you could find a used one that you know works, and see what happens. If it solves the problem with the other alt. in, then you know what you have to do.

Put a new fuel filter on last weekend and it's running a lot better now...only drove it from Fri-Sun but I'll have to wait and see if it stalls again.
