I need advise on refreshing a 1989 Toyota 4x4 pickup suspension

I am a Toyota truck newbie. I just bought an '89 xcab 4x4 (long bed). It has a really clean body, a rebuilt motor and rebuilt transmission. But, the suspension has 215K and 31 years on it. It's sloppy. I'd like to fix this truck up nice, and not skimp on repairs/upkeep.

I want to keep the stock ride height (no lift). I just bought a set of Bilstein shocks, and I will be buying the best leaf springs I can find (once I figure out who currently makes the best leaf springs for this truck).

Besides shocks and leaf springs, what else should I be doing to the suspension at this age? I would like to refresh the suspension all at once. I don't want to get into having to do multiple wheel alignments, because I keep doing suspension restoration in increments.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

When rebuilding my kid's '86 p/u we also refreshed the suspension.
The rears are really only the shocks and springs, so not much to it.
IFS:
upper and lower control arm bushing
upper and lower ball joints
torsion bars
shocks

This is also a good time to replace your wheel bearings and seals (if they were factory, like ours).
Refreshing the steering components will also make a world of difference!
