Another evening, and I'm not there yet. Destroyed another seal while attempting to install it. So, Im looking at this thing and wondering how I can be doing this.... seal is all lined up, nice and straight, 1" 5/8 socket lined up, tap, tap, tap, peeled up the top edge again. Finally, the light starts to come on in this sometimes dim head. The lower half(block) has a nice bevel, the upper half(head) straight, rather sharp edge(the edge that is giving me grief) One good seal left, start the top edge, set it in a ways farther than the bottom, then start tapping it in.... fully seated seal, no damage. Parts store will have another set in tomorrow noon.

Look closely at the 5mm x 15mm pin that keeps the cam pulleys from rotating on the cams. On mine, both had a 2mm offset in the middle of the pin (probably from some gorilla trying to remove the cam bolts by holding the pulleys instead of the cam). They are quite cheap at the dealer
But I had a corresponding dent in the cam pulleys as well. The good news (for me) is that both pulleys are the same, just put on in opposite directions. By swapping the pulleys the dents are no longer in a place that does anything.
