On a serious note, I'm about to cut off the rest of this damn cast on my wrist. Makes it damn difficult trying to reach up and around to hit those tranny bolts.
But I did figure out how I'll be able to do it without a jack. Just sling up the tranny with a ratchet strap to the frame rails. Then take off the tcase, then just man handle the tranny off. Shouldn't be too difficult. Worked out rather well in the simulation in my mind

Lol naw. But that's a great idea. Think i'll start the beer storming process here shortly.
Though looky looky what I found while looking for my ratchet straps.
I didn't even know I owned a sawzall.

Nah, said forget about it for today. In a pissed off mood. Right now wrenches serve me better by being thrown around than undoing bolts and nuts.

Seriously, a trans isn't that heavy with the xfer case removed. A 150# small guy can get those things in and out.

yea thats how i did it, cherry picker. through the pass door chains through the shifter hole and bolted onto where the shifters are (after you remove the shifters) it held, and i could swing the tranny anyway i wanted.
