I'd have to agree, too. 22re's have a very stout block. I've stalled my 22re a few times over the years and didn't have gouges when I rebuilt in Jan. If you're not putting a new bearings or rings, I'd put it back together.

You worry to much. That engine looks fine for 200k. Make sure the head is good and slap it back together. Its a 22RE Toyota, not a F1 engine. Thats good for another 200k easy.......
