Fuel leak
I have a 93 4x4 ext cab 3.0 ltr. that started leaking serious fuel out of the top of the tank. do i drop the tank, if so how? or lift the box? thanks

So much easier to lift the bed to me anyhow.
Then some swear dropping the tank is easier .
In the end you may end up doing both .
No doubt one of the lines on the fuel pump bracket broke or just rotted .
If your in the great Salt belt this is a royal pain because everything will be one rusted mess.
if you replace just one next week or sooner the others will be leaking

Why you're in there, you should replace the pump as it's probably on its last legs and any lines, and possibly the tank too depending upon how rusty it is.
Replacement Denso OE pumps (not from stealership) should be ~$115 and replacement tanks should be ~$200.
Replacement main fuel line aftermarket is ~$40. The short replacement tube fuel pump to main fuel line is ~$70 from the stealership....

Lifted the bed to get at the top of the tank. Fuel was coming out of the line with the union in 2 areas, at the 90 & at the union.
The bed was easy once i freed up the minnesota bolts.
Now it's just the pump bracket removel..
