Exhaust and Cat, lets settle this
#1 doing exhaust and a high flow cat to N/A engine is not going to produce a hole lot of power, about 5whp
#2 2 1/2" is to big, you need between 2 1/8 (stock) to 2 1/4
#3 Most "Modern" cats about 10 years or newer are in essence high flow as is
so, i want to hear YOUR feed backs on what worked for you, and what you have seen work, Flowmaster, Edelbrock, Magnaflow, Dynomax, etc..

i was considering running a high flow cat from Magnaflow or NWOF, anyone have price specs on these, i cant seem to find them
Exhaust i was thinking Flowmatser 40, 44, or new 50 series delta muffler, but i dont know which to choose and last,
id like to find some Intermediate pipe, (pre-bent) that i can buy, shops charge to much,
anyone know were to get some 2 1/4

On my 93 I'm running a 2 1/4" manifold back mandrel bent magnaflow with a magnaflow hiflo cat. Helped out a lot with a the addition an intake. Sounds great and no droning at hwy. Love this set up.
On the 4runner (bought it this way) 2 1/4" manifold back compression bent with no cat and a flowmaster 40 series. Made only slight difference I belive until the addition of an intake which helped quite a bit. Drones and is pretty loud but sounds ok. I prefer my magnaflow setup.
Either way I think an exhaust is completely worth it on the 22re at least. The stock exhaust sucks, and I noticed both performance and mileage gains. Plus it sounds cool! Intake upgrade complements the exhaust nicely.

And at the high price end of the spectrum....I went LC Engineering stainless, ceramic coated header and their 2 1/4" stainless cat-back exhaust. But then again, I never wanted to touch the exhaust again. Can't say if it helped with the power or not as I changed to a DOA Racing 22RE at the same time.
