Deer+ARB

I nailed a deer lastnight with my new bumper. Lets just say that the Arb won all it did was leave some hair on my bumper and A arms.

Right on, it did its intended thing.

ARB gets their fare share of these stories emailed to them.

Sad while Bambi got hurt, it is either you or them.
Without the bumper you might not be driving your rig right now.

How did you manage to sneak up on it at 40ish without being seen and detected?

Yeah I bashed more than a few Roo's in OZ with our ARB Bull bar. It did it's job and never showed any signs of damage. Not to mention running down cattle and "nudging" them with the sidebars. ARB is no joke.

You don't sneak up on a deer in a truck. What happens is they go to the other side of the road to eat the grass. You know, the grass is always greener on the other side of the road or something like that....

Anyway, they see you and get scared and try to run back to their side of the road and they'll run right out in front of you.

Never assume that just because the deer is 20 feet off the road that you're safe. They'll get scared and try to run back to safety...

I love it when that happens.

I had a night were I was crusing hwy 50 back from Tahoe, and I literally saw a deer on my side of the road every 30-45sec for about 5 minutes. The blind corners made it even more fun...

that happened to me on my dirt bike, a cow saw me down the road so he went off to the side and when i got about 10' away he changed his mind and tried to cross back and i was like 4" from hitting him it was scary. funny as hell to watch it happen to my friend from behind though he had a close call with a cow too

Ha ha

I was driving on a highway when a duck was crossing the road to get to the other side and went under my vehicle. Just before I drove over him/her, it turned it's head towards me. You should have seen it's face. "Huh!" Ha ha.
