A/c compressor leak
Hey guys my a/c compressor is leaking around where the high side bracket bolts onto the compressor with two hex heads (see attached pic)....haven't disconnected it yet....was wondering if there was a gasket to replace there or if it was something that could be taken off and then sealed with FIPG or something of the like...any help would be great thanks!

If it's like my '94, there's an irregularly shaped "o-ring" that sits in a groove underneath the plate that those hex socket-head screws hold down. O'Reilly's (and probably Autozone) sells an AC o-ring kit that includes that as well as new o-rings for the hoses. Be sure you get the pressure out of the system safely before you disconnect anything. Hi-pressure coolant can cause nasty skin burns or worse.
Jiffy Lube will evacuate your system for free, if you're using R134. If your system is still R12, it'll be harder to find someone to do it.
Make sure you oil the o-rings lightly before you install them.
