the bucket seat thread
so ive been savin my money and im bout ready to start. im goin for a little bit of lift, and im thinkin the rest is goin towards audio. id like a 4wd truck just to play with, but i dont have that type of money. (unless someone wants to donate) lol. so the lift will end up takin about 300 or so, and ive got around 400, with more on the way.
the bucket seat part of all this, the audio system im envisioning requires bucket seats. it would start at the dash and run back between the seats up to the roof. with a hole around my stick of course. this would take my sub thats behind my passenger seat and possiblly place it in a downward firing position between the seats so as to provide an arm rest. nifty eh? then up the wall i would start in on adding more speakers to complement the 4inches and the sub. most likely goin with 6 1/4's or something. as of now ive got a dual amp hooked up to my sub, so its not exactly the best, and im thinkin about upgrading the amp to fit my sub better, which would free up my dual 2 channel amp. i would use it to run my 6 1/4's.
soo, anyone have any bucket seats in florida, or have any suggestions as of whom to ask or where to look? im thinkin junkyard if i cant find any here, but thing is u gotta be 18 to get into the junkyards around here. id like to see what im gettin. and id also like some input on my ideas.
heres the lift part. im thinkin 4crawler shackles for the back, and then maybe ball joint spacers and/or torsion bar crank for the front.
how am i doin? lol

I have 96 4runner seats... Love them, comfortable and adjustable
Pioneer deck with jvc speakers... nice but i need to put in my sub
Lift, waggy front springs chevy rear... good but i rub up front and they ride harsh(need work on the rear springs)
IMO you should save all the moneys and sell your 2wd to get a 4wd and just go have fun knowing you can go that much farther.

Everybody just loves bustin' your chops, mate.... Good grief. Honestly, I think you could've had a 4x4 by now. I admire you're determination, though.

all that money you could even make your 2wd into a 4wd.
sell it and go buy a 4wd and put some tires gears and a lift.
you will be MUCH happier offroading with that. even just lookin at it....

I got a pair of Acura Leather bucket seats on Craigslist locally for $50. Only needed to mod the front mount by bending it and lengthening one of the holes by 1/4".

i am looking for just bolt in, but im not afraid to drill some new holes to fit stuff either. why not call it a bucket seat thread? lol. had to have a name, i figured since i was askin questions about buckets it would work. the rest was more of just what i planned to do with the buckets.
now on the subjct of that 4x4. lol. yea, of course it would be the best thing to do, but unless i can find a 4x4 for like 500 bucks thats already lifted and has a nice audio system in it... well. yea. i dont plan on sellin my 2wd because of sentimental values and such, and while i could eventually convert it to 4wd, i think by the time im makin that much money i can just buy myself that 4wd and go crazy. what would be ideal is to have my 2wd, lifted some and with a sweet audio system, somethin i could take to shows and stuff, and that be my dd, and then have the 4wd that is for offroad only, something i take around to different places and show off there.
now, heres the plan. im gonna do my best to order the parts for the 2 inches of lift all around that i plan on doing sometime this week, and then i'll start saving up for my audio. and my next thread will most likely be a "build up" thread. lol.
and yes, i am a persistent little punk. word.

deff is a good concept. i like it. of course i dont have a backseat, but ive friends that do, so i'll talk to them about experimenting. lol. of course i should probally worry about my own door handle for right now. my drivers side handle has fallen apart. pretty much sucks. ordered a new one from the dealer. 30 freakin bucks. oh well. easy to put in? it seems pretty simple.
