Best oil?

I think the best combo by far is changing the oil, whatever kind you use every 3K, and changing the filter then also.
I use 10W-30. I try to run Castrol GTX everytime, but sometimes, if there is a good sale going on, such as 5 quarts of valvoline, and a purolator oil filter for $11.99, I'm gonna get that.

Synthetic of course, Mobil-1 because of it's availability & cost, but Royal Purple is good too & I suppose Amsoil would probably be the best if you did a side by side stress to failure test of the three.

In my opinion (which may or may not be correct), the best oil is any quality oil that is checked and changed regularly, in a weight that is appropriate for your environment.
