AISIN carb trouble's

allright so the story goes, i rebuilt this carb...no probs for about 2 months, runs friggin awesome, better than i ever thought my truck could..

now i went to go trail riding and it died at the stop sign...re-started died at the next one...runs fine except at idle.

sometimes it will idle, then if i rev it past about 2 K it straight dies when it gets back to idle..

i may have traced it down to the fuel cut solenoid..but it pops in and out like its supposed to..but then today i had the carb harness unplugged and it ran just fine...then i plugged it back in and still fine..and then i was revving it and still fine...then just died...wtf els could it be?

i took the carb top back off and blew out the slow jet, nothin..and even replaced it with an old one i had and still nothin...

and if it is the fuel cut..where can i get one? new...vatozone shows a pic but its unavailable..

any help would be much appreciated..i would like to keep running my asian before going over to a weber...i like not having to tune...

that sounds like a float issue, mine did the same when i rebuilt my carb, ran great for a month, then one day come off a dirt road after a quail hunt and it just died, come to find out my float tang had slowly bent itself? idk how but it bent and was allowing way too much fuel in except at idle, sounds weird and stupid but no lie thats what it did

Sounds feasible but my fuel level is lower than normal (better for angles) wouldn't it have to be really high to start spilling through the over flow?

Ha ha sweet...that's good cuz I fixed it! Lol..seems to have been the idle cut solenoid ...not sure what the actual problem was but I hard wired an old one I had in and presto! Soon glad I didn't have to throw down on a weber

wanna know a super cool trick to not making an aisin carb not flood out on steep hills?!?!?!
take that little metal overflow tube sticking out of the carb and put a hose on it, then have that hose go into a reservoir somewhere not in the intake!

Youre welcome.
