93 toy ifs with LSX question on tach

Hello,This is my first post on a Toyota forum, I'm usually on pacificp.com/forum.
I swapped in a LS style motor in a 93 ext cab pickup and have completed integrating the Chevy wiring to run the A/C, Fans/ and instrument cluster for a SR5 guage but there is one part I cannot seem to find searching online.
The tach in the instrument cluster has a potentiometer built into it (I assume to twist the resistance b/w a 4cyl to 6cyl) I read a post where one guy changed the resistance from 42.5k to 31.1k for a v6 application.
I cannot find a definite answer or example where someone noted the resistance needed to run a tach for a V8 application. If anyone knows and would like to share that information I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you in Advance.
Robby
