92 4wd pick up manual to auto trans swap.
Hello to all, I have a 92 Toyota 4wd pickup 3.0 V6 I want to change over to automatic transmission. I have a complete 92 4 runner 3.0 v6 4wd donor. My question is about the wire harness is it the same so that the plugs are in place to install the trans ecu or do I need to change out the harness. I have to do this due to health reasons so please dont tell me to get another truck . I just need some advise on the swap. Anything is a help so I'm asking for all ideas. Ok from what I see in the 1992 Toyota Electrical diagrams the Manual and Auto are going to have a different harness .
In the area of the engine and Transmission.
The Electronic Trans has quite a few more goodies hence the need for different plugs and things.
Not being a auto Trans person i don`t know if this can be just a plug and play with the trans harness.
If it were me and you have the parts vehicle I would just swap the whole harness unless you can get someone that has done this.
