'86 4Runner: Tucker (Tuck)
Well I was just heart broken over trading the 4runner off, so I contacted the fella I traded with, and we worked out a,deal to trade back. I gave him the lift parts that I bought for the lexus, and the repair parts that I purchased during my 3 months of ownership, and he gave me the new 8" steel wheels and my old Micky Thompson 15x12's back.
See previous photo.
I drove to Wilmington NC and drove Tuck all the way back home.
I can't express how good it felt to be back in it. I was like a fat kid in a candy store!
Haven't been that excited since I got my first truck.

I agree. Super nice guy.
Got the aluminum wheels mounted back up, cleaned them with easy-off and recleared them. Added some red anodized lug nuts and got the center caps polished back up.
Added a new Yakima rail and got the CVT roof top tent mounted up.

I'm sure you're happy to have it back! I just ran across my old Toyota last week online and the guy I sold it to spray painted it brown, broke it, and parked it under a tree. ..Now it's at a shop getting the fixed and the spray paint cleaned off. I hate seeing it ruined like that. Sometimes I wish I still had it.

I know that feeling too. I had a,91 std cab I built years ago, had 39 boggers with 15x12 centerlines on it. Tons of custom stuff, bumpers, trusses,, bushwackers, etc. A young guy got it and ruined the tires, and wrapped it around a tree.
Broke my heart.

Thanks '84. Yeah I am pretty fortunate to have it. I have noticed some places on it that rust seems to be developing. So I hope to get some new skin from toyotafiberglass.com next spring and replace all the sheet metal.

Good plan, that was you'd never have to worry about rust again!

Not much new. I recently purchased a set of 5:29's for the front and rear. Recently replaced the front main seal, right cv axle, and a new clutch slave cylinder.
Been working on my sons new to him '85 22re with 4" NWOR lift 35's with full custom cage.

We have repaired a few things. Scrubbed the complete interior with cleaner. Repainted the custom parts. Painted the underside, new slave cylinder, new master coming soon. New wiring, radio and speakers. Replaced all the emergency brake system to pass VA inspection.
We traded a 2006 GSXR600 for it. Could not be happier.
