4runner passenger seat swap question
LAst week i got myself a set of seats out of a scion. Much nicer than the ratty 4runner seats. I am just about done mounting the driver seat. I got to looking at the passenger seat and noticed how much differnt the sliders are for the seat to go all th way forward than the driver sliders.
I am using the scion sliders, i just cut off the scion mounts and made mounts to bolt to the 4runner body.
So to my question. When you mounted your passenger seat, when swapping seats, did you use the 4runner sliders or, did you use the sliders that came with the seats you were swapping in? I am curous to know if the seats were able to slide forward enough to get people into the backseat.
I am trying not to remove the factory sliders and mounts from the old seats because i am already not sold on these scion seats because they sit a bit higher than the stock seats, so i amy go back and resell the scion seats and get some hunsakers.

I used buckets fand sliders from a 2 door with a rear seat (Celica All-Trac Turbo) and the passenger seat slides forward just as far as the 4runner's. That said you should be able to unbolt the 4runner sliders and maybe adapt them to the Scion seats (that way you could just bolt the 4runner seat back onto the sliders if you want)

well, what model scion did they come from??
the tC seats sit very low, lower than my runner's buckets, but the xB, xA, & xD seats sit really high, almost as if sitting in a straight back chair...
as for the sliders, id just use the stock scion sliders... if i can fit my 300 lbs into the back seat of my girlfriends tC, then gettin in and out of a truck should be fine...

Well got the pass seat and and did some measuring. Looks like i will be fine (cross fingers) with the scion seat brackets. The factory 4runner seats only throw the seat forward about 8 inches. The scion looks like it has about 10 inches of throw, and i will cheat a bit on the front, but it looks like i can still get the kids in the back.

ok, yea, since they are xB seats, they are tallest of all the scion seats...
stop by a scion dealer and check out the tC seats... they might be more to your liking, unless you got an excellent deal on them...
and my girlfriend is looking at getting some racing seats for her tC, so if you want, when she does, i could talk to her about sellin em to you...
btw, a lot of guys in the Scion scene acutally end up cutting their seat brackets and making their own because those seats are so high...
maybe a seat bracket from WeaponR might work better for you... give em a call...
