3vze Knock Sensor Replacement
I am getting a #52 from my ECU right now, so it looks like I need to pull the thing apart to replace the knock sensor/wiring. Does anyone know about how much time I am in for to do this? It is looking like it is going to be a royal PITA, but I need to get the thing running good, so I can get places and more importantly spring the FJ over

I did mine a few mos ago.
1. Label all your vaccum hoses!!
2. when you pull the plenum off, make sure you dont snag any of the sensor or AC wires behind the plenum (they are on that heater hose outlet behind the plenum on top on back of engine.
MAKE SURE you mark your cams, and try not to disturb them, they will easily spring out of time. In fact, I was never able to properly position them once they moved, because I tried doing it with the top tensioner alone.
3. After you have installed the KS, carefully tighten your intake backon, it is easy to strip the threads on the aluminum heads.
I cant stress enough about your vaccum hoses, they will haunt you if u dont label them.
Take plenty of pics along the way.
Good luck!
