Do you have any issues running a 12.5" tire on a 7" wheel?

Zero issues other than what I mentioned above. It barely rubs the upper control arm but that is if you are flexing the sidewall or lowering the tie pressure. The original owner of the truck used 1/4" spacers in the front so it would not rub at all. It is safe and I have done it before with thousands of miles on the street.

The main issues with wheel spacers are:
a) pushing the rim out from the hub, particularly on the steering axles, puts strain on wheel bearings.
b) pushing the rim outward on the steering axles moves the contact patch outward from the 'imaginary' line drawn through the upper and lower ball joints (steering axis inclination). When that happens, it makes the front wheels' steering more susceptible to bumps, potholes, etc. in the road.

I had to correct myself. I thought it was the outer tie rod but it is the lip of the upper control arm that is rubbing. You can either grind the lip or just get the $20 spacers from Advance Auto.
