but what if you somehow bypassed the rev-limiter... I wander how much the 22re could take

how bout someone try that...

I bet all you'd have to do is hard-wire the coil to the battery so the ECM doesn't cut power to it...

ive always wondered about that

ive seen a 22r twist 7,500 rpm and hold it there. the bottom ends on these motors are very stout.

I'm boring, never been past 5500rpm. i wonder when the valves begin to float- these are interference engines.

you ever seen those slow motion videos of valves floating at high RPM; it's crazy! YouTube it!

actually here, I'll do it for you

the first 30 seconds is boring, but it's purdy neat look'n when the RPMs get up there:

well when i used to drift my runner i would hit the rev limiter every day on more then one stop light or right or left turn in really funny to see to peoples faces when they see a truck comeing at them sideways with nothing but body roll cause i dont hasve any sway bars!! but yeah i hit the rev all the time but my newerish dd never seen over 5k just cause ya dig!

anda when i do the 7me swap ha ha everytime i get it going right though the rev limitier!!

and to by pass the rev limiter its just one wire cut just cut the wire going to the ecu that says rpm signal i think not sure if by fault it wont let you go to high though
