I moved your original post to the correct section. Your first post did not make the move.
Not the best check, but you can remove the fuel line from the fire wall and put it in a container and see how much fuel it is pumping. It wont necessarily give you the correct fuel pressure but you could see if it is getting plenty of fuel that way. Next I would check to the fuel filter.
You did not post your year model but the 22re motor has been around for a long time. Nearly every 22 I have seen has been neglected. Going thru the entire motor and getting everything back up to where it needs to be takes a good days work. Just by your description I would still think it is a fuel issue.
A complete freshen up of a 22 motor, you need to go thru the Intake System and remove all of the carbon. All hoses cleaned of carbon, or replaced and hooked up correctly. Sensors need cleaned. Usually the TPS and O2 sensor is about the only ones that need replaced as they are worn out. Complete Tune Up with factory parts. Valves adjusted.
Going thru your fuel system and what I listed above will probably solve your issue. I have seen some major problems just fixed by doing the needed maintenace on these trucks.
