1995 4runner overheating, help!
I have 1995 4runner that overheats randomly and most incoveniently. It usually happens when the ac is running and I am in idle position on a hot day. Sometimes it will happen while sittting idle with the AC off, but always while idle it seems to get hot. I noticed that the AC fan does not always run when the ac is on. This of course was a dead give away of the problem so I took it in to the shop. They guy at the shop told me that it could be one of the three problems, AC Fan, Engine Fan Clutch or Head Gaskets. I know the previous owner before me had the head gaskets changed after they went at about 90K miles so i'm hoping this isn't a problem. I'm pretty car stupid so any help would be appreciated (and informational!).
Also, I realize that every morning there is a slight puddle of oil in my driveway. I have searched around for this problem and have heard that a rear valve might be leaking?

start with the basics.. clutch fan, water pump,t-stat, radiator. is it using water? check the oil and coolant make shure there not mixed together.

Hi, thanks for the response. I had a new ac fan put in and the truck stopped overheating at idle.. for about 10 minutes. With the AC on full blast in the dead heat it the temp gauge did not budge until I drove for about 15 minutes (45 MPH max) and again idled. Temp gauge goes up and up! I took it back to my mechanic who told me the last thing is the fan clutch and if that doesn't fix it, the gaskets. Does this sound right?
