Twin stick install question
Has anyone installed twin sticks with the T cases still in the truck?
I'm not afraid to remove the T cases if I have to but, it is a huge PITA.

From the little bit I read on installing twin sticks, I believe you have to remove the cases. I think you have to get that interlock pin out and there might be a risk of it dropping down into the case. I can't remember exactly. Let us know what you find out though, I'd like to have twin sticks to be able to have 2wd low.

Getting the pin out without dropping it is no problem, I have multiple flexible magnets but, room might be needed for other steps I can only get the drift of thanks to being dumber than a box of rocks.

Progress is amazing, I took the cross member off, drained the T cases, dropped the driveshafts, removed the knuckle busting stick shifts, unplugged the 4wd light, supported the transmission, loosened all the T case bolts except two and tomorrow morning I'll drop the T cases when I'm freshly spun up on a few large cups of good coffee.

The crawl box has to be separated from the main t case so the plain and simple answer to my initial question is NO, things do have to come out and apart so the task can be completed.

So with just a single case, twin stick could be installed without dropping the case?

No, the T case has to come away from the transmission to access the shift shaft you just fully remove from the unit.
I have the T cases mated to the transmission as of this evening, back pain and lack of light caused me to go inside and get a back rub from my wife.

Good job, this is a mod I plan to do as well. I'm not looking forward to the back pain that goes with it.

Back pain is something I have to live with 24-7, the level of pain fluctuates from severe to extreme but, I have a wife that will drop what she's doing to rub the lotion on the skin and it helps a lot. I can move today no problems
