Right hub staying Locked!!!

Well I'm still working the bugs out of my 87' 4runner(sas'ed)
The right hub is staying locked in. Wheither the selector is on free or lock it stays locked. What could cause this? I'm still learning about the Solid front axle so any tips or advice would be apreciated. I have to replace my knuckle bearings here in a few days so I'd like to fix this while I'm at it.

Manual or Auto hubs? Have you tried backing up to unlock it?

I think your right hub may be bad internally. Replace them with some good used factory hubs and you should be ok

Pull the hub off and clean/rebuild it. Likely has some dirt or too much grease inside making the locking gear stick or was assembled improperly:

Thanks. Manual Hubs by the way. I figured that it needed rebuilt... but not positive...
