How do I rebuild my G-54 Trans?

I am slowly working on by little beast and was able to figure out what trans. I have and order a rebiuld kit and new inputshaft. But was wondering if there are any tricks I need to be aware of before tearing it down. Any websites with instructions? Oh and for those intrested, there is a G-54 with transfercase on craigslist located in Ventura County Ca. I talked to the seller and it sounds pretty decent. It is listed for $150.00. I told my wife we should get it but she vetoed the idea.

The FSM is essential to a successful rebuild. I rebuilt my G52 in January and there is a lot of measuring and checking involved! Also, you will need a hydraulic press to get the gears apart. It is not an easy job to do, and I would not recommend it unless you have some experience with this type of thing.
