help me make a list of tools to buy!

I need to create a good arsenal of tools. I have the sockets, wrenches, screw drivers and the basics, but I'm looking to get some tools that will be good and useful for working on engines (efi and carb). Here's what I have off the top of my head. I am ordering these up in the next few days from somewhere, not sure yet. Any suggestions would be good also.

Feeler gauge (for valve clearance)
Torque Wrench
Timing light
Vacuum gauge
Fuel pressure gauge
RPM Gauge

What size are the sockets for the transmission and diff. fluids? I need some of them too

A good paper copy of factory service manuals can save a lot of time.
Cheap trays for keeping parts separated by task, like cookie sheets or muffin trays.
Also have a supply of brake cleaner, penetrating oil, grease, shop rags, gloves and oil containment.

Could not agree more..............
Also include a old fashion micrometer with the dial/arm. You can use this to troubleshoot the error codes and quickly check continuity in your wiring/relays and switches.

I bought an infrared temperature gauge (pyrometer) a couple years ago and it's been an invaluable tool for engine and exhaust diagnostics plus it's handy around the house too.

A extentable magnet for those droped bolts and a extentable small mirror so you might be able to see why something wont come off before the BFH
