1986+ Wheels Dont fit my 1985 4Runner?

So i have a project 1985 solid axle with fuel injected 22RE. I have been parting out toyotas for awhile and have saved four spares from 1986+ 4Runners that all had nice tread on them. So I bolt them on and all seems well. I go to drive the 4Runner and it is stuck up front. Looks like they are rubbing the long arms? Anyone know if it is me or are they just not going to work? Is it a certain wheel I need from 1985 and older with a different offset? Bummer because I threw out my 1985 wheels. Let me know if you can help, and what years or models or makes I can take wheels and tires from?

They'll fit the rears, but not the front. They should be hanging up on your caliper, not the long arms.

The 86+ IFS wheels have a different backspacing than 85 and earlier solid axle trucks/land cruisers. I dont believe they will fit without some work.

So when they are on they bind so tightly that they wont move forward at all. The rears start to dig in and push. You think they would at least rotate. Anyway what years would fit? What other models would fit? To make a 1986+ wheel fit what needs to be done?

spacers. 85 and previous wheels have (dont quote me on it) a 3.75" back spacing and the 86+ wheels have a 4.25" back spacing. Need to get them out further to fit I would think.

Solid axle trucks have 3-3/8" backspacing:

IFS trucks have about 4-3/4":

So you would need a spacer of about 1.25"-1.5" thick to make up the difference.

They don't hit the caliper, they hit the steering arm.

Factory toyota IFS rims hit the steering arm. NOT THE CALIPER.
