toyota dually 3rd's??

does anybody know how the 3rd's out of the toyota dually's measure up to the 3rd's out of V6's or 4cyl's? i'd figure they'd be bretty strong. anybody know?!?

i mean pretty strong. lol considering you could be putting a TON of weight under that rear.

As far as I know, they are the same basic 8" 3rd like the 4WD trucks get. Could be a V6/4 pinion version. Axle strength on the duallys comes from the full floating design. You have the vehicle weight supported by a spindle and double wheel bearings (like on the front axle) and the torque from the 3rd is the only thing in the axle shaft.
