if you want it to match your body lines, you need an 81-83 bed

I have seen 84-88 and 89-95 beds on the trucks too..
89-95 has a round fender like the 79-83..
still looks like crap, just not as crappy as a 84-88...

beds from 84-95 will fit with minor mods ..

thing is the body lines dont match .. 89-95 bed is closest for body lines , but the bed width is 3" wider . 84-88 bed is 1 3/4" wider .. so eathier way , you have some over hang !

really all depends on your budget and what you want for the final outcome ?
