Aftermarket Intake for a 22R

I bought a yota with a 22R and on it is an Offenhauser intake. I was wondering if these intakes are worth the $250-$300 price tag? This is my first toyota but i have many friends with the 22R motor and factory intakes. Any input is appreciated. Thanks BAM

when combined with a weber and a decent header they are worth it, on a stock truck I wouldn't pay that much for it. What year is the yota?

It does have an aftermarket weber and a thorley header on it. It is a 1980 toyota with a stretched samurai body as can be seen on the left but it is a 22R motor not a 20. I am impressed with the amount of power it produces. Most of the guys i mud with have fairly stock motors and i was just curious.

yeah that's a great combo. especially if it's a weber 38 a tri-y thorley and a dual plane offy intake. Tons of low end torque

So basiclly it is worth it if you spend the money to by all of the addtional parts. So its more like a $700 to $900 package at that point. Thanks for your help. BAM

you will see an improvement with the stock carb and header, just to me not worth the 250-300 bones.
