83 Single cab conversion to a quad?
I have seen helux in other countries that are quad cabs. I have just been wondering if anyone has ever converted 2 single cab pickups into a quad? No I’m not saying having an “extended” cab in the bed. I figure it would take quite a bit of metal fab of course. I just would like to see if anyone has. I suppose that it probably would need the extra horse power of the hilux though I don’t know.

What do you have, what do you want?
Anything is possible with enough time and or money.
Horse power is not relevant, really, they only came with a few engines petrol/gas or diesel depending on location..

I'm thinking that this is one of those cases where "Anything is possible, as long as you have enough money."
My opinion: Clean up & sell Old Blue and then find a newer Toyota truck with a crew cab. I doubt you will want to wait for months or even years for some custom body shop to do the conversion.

It is definitely possible with an abundance of time and the right resources. Unless you plan to keep the same wheelbase and shorten the cargo area of the bed, there are lot of areas for consideration: extending the frame, brake lines, fuel lines, driveshaft, wiring, etc. Additional concerns may also vary depending upon your state include re-titling the truck as reconstructed.
