I know i need to "wallow" out the original motor mount holes on the FRAME (1980 20r mounts have narrower bolt spacing than 22r) to match up to the 22r/4xInnovations motor mount bolt hole spacing.
Ive read of some guys having a rough go of it when they attempt to enlarge the frame holes, so im asking for advice/pics from anyone who has done it. tool recommendations, measurements, general hole wallowing tips n tricks etc.
If i go at it half cocked thinking i can just flop a drill bit around in there with the ol' Bosch ill be all kinds of irritated if/when my efforts fail.
.....before i get bombarded, i am fully aware that the block side holes line up fine, it is the frame side holes i am focusing on.
My welder is a pair of tubes that say JB on them and my torch says BIC on it, so making a nice thick plate with correct holes and welding it on isnt an option for me.
Lets see those reamed out holes!

I'm sorry I can't help you but that's about the funniest request for help that I believe I've read. The whole JB weld and Bic really got me going.

Happy to amuse TB, I am determined to make these things work, i just got them in the mail, fwiw 4xi engine and t-case mounts are no joke, Heavy Duty is an understatement, welds are great, i havent mounted them, but once i got my hands on em i felt i had gotten my moneys worth for sure.
now Bump!

just use your "tube welder," and fuse the block straight to the frame. boom problem solved. you can thank me whenever.

A step bit might work, but I would worry about making the holes too large. I think your best bet would be to use a dremel to elongate the holes a little wider on the mounts and a little narrower on the frame (I think I have that correct. I may be backwards, but you get what I'm saying?). This way you are splitting the difference without making big ass holes on one part and not the other. This would also keep the motor in the same location from front to back. If you modify it to fit and your motors side farther forward or backward then you may end up having problems aligning your t-case mount.
