4Hummer

a little off topic, but thought the rest of you would like to know how my purchase of a cylinder head and camshaft went with him.

Timely shipping on his part, responded quickly to my questions. More than fair price on this items.

Head arrived in good condtion, however, he packaged the items so "tight" (the inner box was insulation foam board!!) and so well the camshaft arrived with some surface rust on it. The time frame the items were shipped, the temperature and humidity were very high, and without any way for the items to "breathe", the camshaft had started to rust a little.

I explained what happened to him, sent him a photo of the damage, and he promptly offered to make it right with me, which he did.

So all I want to say to 4Hummer is thank you for making it right with me He is a stand up guy to deal with.

Being on dial up sucks since it takes so much time to "hunt around" on the web, so, I only go to certain websites and don't look around too much since it is too time consuming.

We have a "Feedback Forums" here........I didn't know that!!

Hey Thanks VMAX. Glad we could work it out.

I am still truly baffled by how the cam shaft could rust so fast.

So note to anyone shipping engine parts, coat everything in oil (By my own mistake I only sprayed the head down with WD40...all I had at the time)

And make your packaging breathable. As stated I used insulation foam board as a "Crate" for the head (Figured it would protect the head if dropped) I than put the "Cooler" into a cardboard box. I guess the high temps and humidity caused moisture to form inside the package!

VMAX was understanding and fair threw out all the dealings, Top notch guy in my book.

BTW never say UPS sucks to a guy that flys for them. :pat:

No kidding........this package could of fallen out of my plane and survived the impact!!! Great job packing the cylinder head.

Anyway, thanks again for your honesty on the whole thing.
