For the same reason you're always on Eagle Rock:
I can't wait for the gates to start opening up! We've got a lot of great runs planned this summer:

Two others I want to do:
Bunce -> Middle St. Vrain -> Coney Flats
Red Cone

We're almost always up at Bunce because we all love it! It is such a great trail, and is pretty much the only good one within 10-15 mins. of my house.
I'll be up there most every weekend this summer. Come up and see me sometime. I'll be pretty easy to spot.
Been 4 wheeling up there for over 12 years now, myself. I really do love it up there (or down there for me as it is about 600-1000 feet below my house, depending on where you are.

How difficult is that trail? A group of friends and I were planning on camping off of Rollins Pass for Memorial Weekend. Well, that is probably out the door. There is still a ton of snow up there. So, we were thinking of switching it to Bunce Road.
First off, I will be driving my wife's 04 Mercury Mountaineer with IFS and IRS (Independent rear suspension ), really low running boards and pulling a small pop-up tent trailer. Can this trail be done with that combo? Is there good camping up in that area? Was there a ton of snow on your May 5th run?
Sorry for the 20 questions but I'm trying to figure out if it's worth driving from Pueblo up to Bunce for a weekend of camping just to find out I can't make it.
Thanks!

It's pretty easy - basically a dirt road for most of it, there are some side trails that would not be good in a rig like that.
There's tons of camping (all primitive - no facilities at all). There was no snow at all last time we were up there.
PM vwfast - he is up there all the time.

Primitive camping is what we are looking for so no worries there
I'll shoot him a PM, thanks for the heads up!

Molly we ran it lastnight no nails anywhere but there is a big wash out on the main trail after the area you popped a tire. We saw a guy in a subaru who flagged us down and warned us about it. Going through it i was at 30 and tipping when i stopped and went around it. It looks like its a few days old. Id say about a week and it gets smoothed out cause people are driving off the edge of it and its soft sand.
