As consumers gravitate toward trucks and SUVs, automakers continue to adjust their offerings. Toyota, of course, is no exception. In addition to ramping up truck production, the brand will also evaluate their passenger car offerings. “We will look and evaluate every single one,” said Jack Hollis, head of U.S. sales. “The Yaris, Corolla and Prius each have several different variants. Do we need all of them? We just want to evaluate the performance of each.”

Make no mistake – Toyota isn’t abandoning cars altogether in favor of high-dollar, high-margin trucks. But they’d be silly not to produce and sell more of what’s working in the current marketplace. And here in the states, that means all the off-road ready, snorkel-equipped, Toyota TRD models we can handle. And we certainly don’t have any qualms with that!
