Well we had an amazing day of snow wheeling with Ric, TC, CMadness and Myself. Tried to go run Yankee Hill and basically only got a 1/4 mile because the snow was so deep. We made one heck of a rescue of a Jeep. I'll let one of the guys explain those logistics!

The Jeep was pretty much disabled due to a smoked clutch, so we had to pull him out without his help. We tried winching and strapping, but couldn't make much if any progress. We ended up backing everyone out, turning around, and backing down with Ric in front of the Jeep, me in front of Ric, and Corey (cmadness) in front of me, each attached to the other. Basically, we acted as a locomotive and split the force among all 12 tires and finally got him out! It actually worked so well, they had him out before I could take pix!

Looks like fun.....I have never wheeled in snow like that before. But here in So Cal, we dont get snow like that.

We had some snow like that up where we went Saturday, but Jim and I did not venture off to play in it.
We let the other guy's there have the fun.

that was a "BLAST" and the "train" pulling out Brian, was great, if that ever happens again, we will have to make sure to get a video of it. I only took a few pics, and they aint worth putting up.

I just signed up for You Tube too, but my vid I made a few days ago is not showing up yet, and it has been 10 minutes since I uploaded it.
I take it they have to check it or something first.

I am getting a better digital camera later that will take longer vids and higher quality.

Sweet video. I did my fair share of snow driving back east but that was way before my wheelin' days. Time to go to Big Bear!!!

 

Awesome video, makes me want to move out to Colorado.

 

And no one invited me? :cry: Even though I have a BII, it would still have been fun, and my BII is also a Jeep recovery vehicle!

 

Great video. I wish that I could get up more. If you guys can try and plan about a week ahead I will try to make it.

we generally do, this was posted about 2 weeks in advanced, just keep an eye on the Trip Planning. Wheeling (to me) is like a drug, once ya start, I just cant enough, lol

On our annual trip North for Christmas we saw no snow.:cry:
