Planing a trip to Disney, OK

Chris (4x4Fink) and I want to go test out our new MTZ's and I wanna go to Disney since he and the other guys had so much fun last time.

Haven't got an exact date yet but it will be anytime between Sunday May 13th and Friday May 18th. I will be happy to camp or just drive down early morning and wheel during the day...either way works for me.

He will be bringing his Runner and he will most likely be alone for the trip so if somebody wants to ride along that's fine...if we camp and you're male, you're outside, buddy.

As of right now I think camping would be a blast but it will depend on who all goes.

Post up if you're interested, if you have specific needs as far as dates go post them up and that will help us narrow it down.

Thanks for readin!

Best day for me would be that Wednesday and/or Thursday. I have 5th, 6th, and 7th period finals that Wednesday, but only have to take 7th, and I'm already working on taking it early. Now I can say I will be out of town, and not be lying.

So... pending the early final and asking off work, (need to do soon, so let me know if these days work), I'm in.

[hijack] How do you like the MTZ's you two? [/hijack]

thursday wheel + thursday night camp + friday wheel would work for me too. Just need to:

a) be back 4pm-ish Friday afternoon/evening.
b) ask off work. (soon!)

Cory has been up there a few times, so he should be able to point us to some fun stuff.

So if that's cool with Chris and Anthony let's do that?

Works with me, I may be able to head down early if anybody wants to go down and maybe camp two nights or something.

I'm free that entire week, as of now, I'm hoping to have a job by then so that may change but as of right now I'll still be unemployed

Those dates are fine.

Go down on Thursday (early-mid morning), re-group, wheel, camp that night and then wheel more on Friday morning.

Only one thing: No Mud.

Everybody post up if that's cool, I'll ask Anthony tomorrow.

Fink

I should be good with that, will know soon.

Also Fink, why no mud? there are a few trails that all wind you up in a ravine which is a little muddy, but nothing bad at all, a stock 2WD would make it through ok, would that be ok?

Those times aren't going to work for me.

It's pretty easy to avoid mud at Disney, it's just the big holes with 2' of stank water in them that are unavoidable.

Cory,

I have just had bad experiences with mud. It gets EVERYWHERE. On my old 2nd gen I had to replace several seals and had other problems due to mud.

A little bit of mud isn't a big deal, driving through it slowly without spinning out and getting it everywhere is fine. But I won't do any "mudding." If I can go through it in 4WD slowly without it coating my undercarriage then I'm down.

I'll just look at it and see what it looks like. But I'd rather not go through the mud pits that Cargun was talking about.

Cargun, what dates would work better...maybe we can move it around a little bit. I can go anytime that week as of now so just post up the dates you can go and we can take a look at em.

Thanks guys,

Fink

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it during that week or not just depends on work and weather I can get off might be kind of tough. I could probably get off that weekend but it sounds like you all are more set on sometime during the week. Once you all have made a final date I'll let you know if I can get off for at least a day of wheeling.

I was thinking of running up on Friday, early eveningish if anyone was going to be there. But don't schedule it around me.... I get more than enough wheeling in already If I start doing 2x a month, I don't know how much longer my truck will last!

Actually a Friday to Saturday or a Saturday to Sunday works best for me (doesnt require vacation time) but I thought you guys wanted to do it during the week....

I think Fink and Keith might want to do it during the week. I just don't know if I'll be able to make it during the week or not. Weekend would be better for me I think.

I thought you were trying to do a during-the-week thing too. So if you wanna do a weekend thing, count me out... I'm finally done with High School and graduation is that weekend. Definetly time to wheel again very soon though...

So Fink,

Wed/Thurs is the only time I can go now. Just found out we have graduation "rehersal" Friday @ 10AM . So if you're still down for Wed/Thurs, let me know.

Keith, you gotta work on getting a M-F summer job so you can go play on the weekends!

And Cory, TIE YOUR DAMN BATTERY DOWN BEFORE YOU GO WHEELING AGAIN!

Well, at least get a bigger fire extinguisher.... you only want the truck burned forward of the firewall for the 302 swap.

Trust me...

If I could NOT work weekends, or only work ONE job for that matter, I would. It's just not do-able right now. However, come next Jan/Feb, my truck will be paid off, and that'll free up a bit per month, leaving more bank to have fun with.

EDIT: Oh, and I just got a $1.50 raise. Yay for promotions.
