Windows Auto update freezing

I have the Windows Update set up to notify me when new updates are available. When I select "download updates" the little shield icon appears in the task bar but it just sits there. When I highlight it its says "Downloading Updates 0%" and will sit there forever until I restart. This doesn't happen all the time, some download fine others don't.

Pertent info:
MS Windows Media Center 2005 with SP2 installed
Cable connection
ZoneAlarm Pro firewall (Windows Update and all associated programs set for allow).

Like I said it doesn't happen all the time. If I go to Windows Update web page, no problems. It's just the "auto updates" that seem to hang from time to time.

Anyone have a clue?

Double click on
"My Computer" then
"Control panel" then "System" then choose "automatic updates tab". Look at the settings.
