What is the best external HD I can get for $75 ?
I am on a very low budget so im looking for the cheapest one I can find. I am using a PC with Windows XP Pro. Its at 85% it capacity and starting to be very slow at finding and opening files. Im gonna move all my personal music, videos and pictures (50GB) to the external.
Can I get a decent external for around $75 ?
Another question is how can I find out if my computer has a 2.0 USB?

I just ordered this one for net $69.97 including shipping. Had to get their credit card for the extra $30 off. I'll cancel in a month.

These are the ones im trying to decide from. I looked around and cant find one that uses a new hard drive for around 75 dollars. All the hard drives in that range use remans.

I just went and bought a WD 160GB internal , installed XP Pro and made it my primary drive. I am going to install my old 80GB as a secondary. This was way cheaper and will give me plenty of space. Plus I dont have extra stuff laying on the desk.
The only thing is that when I go to sytem info it tells me the hard drive has a total size of 127.99GB. It says 160GB on the box. Whats up with that?!!!!

that's because your BIOS can only "see" a max of 120 GB...
i suggest you partition it and make it 2 drives to see the fullest...
or wait... sometimes, drive makers count 1MB to be 1000000 bytes while others see it as 1024000.
go into your bios and see if it recognizes the full 160GB...
i remember my very first HD... a whoppin' 10MB... i stopped booting from my 5.25" drives...
