new website help... GoDaddy

Ok I just got off the phone with GoDaddy tech support... I am LOOOOST now.

So I have this geocities website (goecities.com/mattvivsound) and it has been exceding the transfer limit twice a week at least in the past 2-3 months. So after plenty of recommendations I purchased my own domain name (www.mattvivslivesound.com) and hosting services with from GoDaddy also. I got the Deluxe Hosting Plan.

So how do I get my geocities site to the godaddy service?
Apprently I can not use HTML code to build my webpage within GoDaddy.

The guy kept mentioning Umbrella and FTP.
What files do I save? How do I save them? How do I upload them?

Where at do I edit my webpages?

I have an Apple MacBook Pro laptop also...

I am f-n confused.

I use MS Front Page 2003 for all my webpage building.
It comes with Office 2003.

You build your website on your PC and save it in folders.

You then use an FTP program to upload it to your site.

I am using a free FTP app called Filezilla.
If you Google it, you shall find it.

I use to use Cute FTP a paid app, but it sucks compared to Filezilla which is free.

The Daddy should give you all of your FTP login info so you can get started on setting up folders on their server.

I am not a Mac person, so I would not know.
Sorry...

We do have a lot of Mac users on here though.

Cool Matt, it looks great.
What app did you use to build the pages with?

Yes, you can also FTP with just about any browser, but I prefer a stand alone app for that.

I am sure there are some for Macs.
