Internet radio

How many are using Windows Media Player 9 and 10 to listen to music on the PC?
I do not have a regular home stereo, so my PC is my entertainment system for CDs, Internet radio, and my FM from my TV/FM tuner card.

Makes it more enjoyable when working on the PC or surfing the 'Net here, or elsewhere doing research.

With Media Player 10, they have what is called the Radio Tuner listed on their guide page.
You can add stations to that, and you can also use the MSN icon under radio on the far right of the top screen to make another place to bookmark stations.

To bad you can not group all of them together, but it is form two different sources.

If anyone likes to listen to dance music with lots of bass, here are a few good sites from the Media Player that also have websites.
http://www.di.fm/
http://www.thedancestation.com/

This site has many channels, including dance tunes from old.

Corey, have you ever toyed with iTunes? I REALLY love it, much more than WMP..but I'm on a Mac too..

One thing I love is XM Online. While it doesn't work with Mac for some reason, I run it in the background with Virtual PC. Way cool.

Neil, have not tried iTunes yet, but have thought about it.
That last link in my post above rocks, and you do not have to use the main player, it uses and embedded one on the webpage.

I am rocking out here to these dance tunes, as it sounds really really great with my sub woofer.

Been looking at some 500 watt power supplies on NewEgg's site, and I gotta tell ya, surfin' with tunes is a lot more fun :drum:

One of these days I will install iTunes to see how it works.
I saw the XM Online link in Media Player too.
Gotta pay for that though.

Gonna try something here and see if I can embed a player with Club FMs main channel in it.

Corey-
That doesn't work for me. There's something with Windows Media for mac that doesn't allow me to play things that are embedded...Just like XM online. It's really weird!

It only works with IE. I tried with FireFox, and no go. Probably have to get some extension for it to work

IMHO itunes sucks. I tried to like it but just don't. The music library is not fully custumisable nor is WM but at least with WM i can drag and drop from a folder set up the way I want it. Also its probably me but I can't get the media keys to function with itunes. even with manual config. WM media there is no configuring its already done. MW also uses 20% less resourses to run. It sucks I still have to use itunes to send stuff to my ipod but I guess that what I get for using a mac mp3 player. oh well. Also MW you can do mp3 now so I could finaly dump music match. I was wondering what was up with music match anyway, every upgrade has gotten worse.

That embedded media stuff is an IE thing... Yet another non-standard extension that MS has done.
