I've played almost all the old systems.
I'm not a retro lover. They were fun games in their time, most of them are not fun games now. With some exceptions of course. The new stuff is absolutely without a doubt better, as it should be. I hate it when someone tries to argue why NES is better than PS3. IT'S NOT!

With PS3 just save some Linux based game emulators (NES, SNES, GENESIS, N64, etc...) and play the old games like that. The PS3 is awesome. I'm with you Scofco!

I was digging through some boxes the other nite and I came across over 50 Atari 2600 games! So, I had to run out and get the system today. It was only $40.
I still have my NES that I play regularly. I actually find myself playing the NES more than I do my PS2. Ya can't go wrong with games like Mario Bros. and Contra

I honestly don't think a lawsuit will be had. I mean, Sony isn't marketing the emulators. They are just readily available from the hands of homebrewers. Now, if they wanted a lawsuit... there would be millions upon millions of people to crack down on, and I just don't see that happening.

Lessee my first system was an Atari 2600, then the upgrade to the commador 64, then the NES, then a SEGA, Playstation, N64, and now I use my PC. I may eventually get a system, I spend any extra $$$ on my rig.

I'm only 22. Basically until last year, the only video game system I'd ever owned was an NES. That thing was sweet... till I left it on overnight a few too many times and let the smoke out of it... I've got another one kicking around now, and I've been contemplating gutting it and sticking in an older computer, stack it up with ROMS, and relive the memories. It can be done for fairly cheap now. The only hard part is finding components small enough to fit in the NES. There was a great website, but I've long since forgotten it...

Emulators are awsome...I could never get my N64 emulator to work though. I wanted to play some Goldeneye!

Oh yeah!!! Goldeneye was one of the best games on the N64. Definitely in my top 3... as number 1! I did like Diddy Kong Racing and the StarWars game that launched with the system... The N64 was a very awesome system.

Retro gaming isn't retro unless you play on the original system. Like my NES that I still use on a regular basis. I have it set up at work and in our down time we have duck hunt tournaments. Complete with the official "Duck Hunt Firing Line"

Right on! I thought I was the only one who had a Sega Master System. I was also the only one with a Turbo Graphix 16. Splatterhouse was the best!
On NES I loved Super Mario 3, but I played all of them a lot at friends houses. On the computer I liked the old Sierra games, Space Quest, Hero's Quest, Kings Quest, etc. I'm 28 and my first system was PONG that my dad picked up at a garage sale, so I know the whole history.

One can easily argue that NES is better than PS3. it's all subjective. Yes, the graphics are more advanced on the PS3, but if someone gets more satisfaction from the older system, then to that user it is the "better" system.
I grew up on NES and SNES. My latest system is a PS2. I want a PS3 or Wii. I still maintain that SNES Super Mario Kart is the most fun game I own. ![]() (and that no one will ever beat my Mario Circuit 1 time )

I still rock the NES and actually don't have any other systems. I had an xbox before some thieves broke into my house and took that amongst so many other things....one of the few things I even replaced was my NES. Its the games like excite bike and rc pro am that I'll probably never grow out of.
