More CB questions....

I bought a Cobra 19,from what I heard and read here it does what it needs to, and fits perfectly in the ash tray of 2nd gen 4runners. But, it does stick out about 3 inches. I dont mind, because it doesnt get in the way when shifting or 4wd. My question is the mounting bracket doesnt fit in, unless I am doing something wrong. Others who used the Cobra 19 in the ashtray, how did you mount it so it will not fall?

If I remember correctly people used either double stick tape or velcro to mount it.

Did the industrial Velcro.

I had it apart the other day and saw that with some careful trimming and a couple spacers and well spaced screws you could use the bracket. Velcro has been OK so i havent followed up on it to actually see if it would work.

Post up some pics when you are done.
